CHURCH HISTORY
Word of Grace Worship Center is a Bible believing, Bible teaching ministry founded and established in 1987 by Bishop Restine T. Jackson III and his wife Lady Ida Jackson.

The ministry was planted in the Washington Metropolitan area and was a great attraction to all. Bishop and Lady Jackson originally named the ministry, Greater Grace Temple, after their home church in Detroit, Michigan where they both were filled with the precious gift of the Holy Ghost. The Jacksons had such a great love for Greater Grace Temple in Detroit, as well as an immeasurable amount of love and respect for their Pastor, the late Bishop David L. Ellis. Word of Grace Worship Center has always been known for its expository biblical teaching, unique style of worship and its expression of love which permeates from the pulpit to the door.
Bishop and Lady Ida Jackson served as Senior Pastor and Co-Pastor for over 25 years. In 2015, Bishop Jack went from labor to reward with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. The Word of Grace church family is truly blessed to still have co-founder Ida Jackson serving in ministry as an advisor.
